Our Work Continued (Even More Stories)

Updated 10th September 2007

SWEP has been busy since June (2007); we have a number of new stories for you.

STORY 2

SWEP was made aware of a Dartmoor mare with a deformed foal.  The farmer was asked if SWEP could assist with removing them from the moor.  They came into our yard where a Vet was called.  The Vet advised that the colt should be put down as the deformity was too severe.

SWEP paid for the Vet and to incinerate the foal's carcass.  The mare was released back onto the moor.

STORY 3

SWEP attended a Dartmoor mare who was 'scouring' badly, note Tail and back of her legs.  Her farmer owner was notified and asked to remove her from the moor and have her attended to.

STORY 4

Pictures show a Dartmoor mare and her foal. The foal was killed in a Road Traffic Accident.  The mare stayed with the foal for 24 hours.
